Is there a legit way to earn a passive income online?

I have just read an answer on Quora to this question; Are there any legit passive income ideas online? Where the writer whined endlessly on about everyone else who answered this question, and who included links in them, were just scammers and frauds.

‘There are no legit programs to earn passive income online. You will find all such claims by promoters of these programs are hyped and and exaggerated and they will always fail.’

Up to a point I would agree with this statement. MOST passive income programs ARE indeed hyped and exaggerated to sound better, and easier than they actually are.

What is passive income?

The idea of a passive income is that you do some work, up front (usually a LOT of Hard work) and then you sit back and reap the rewards from your efforts.

Or…

You ‘invest money’ (usually with a very high degree of risk) and simply wait for a return on your investment.

I have personally joined many such ‘investment’ programs over many years. I can tell you from my own experience in them. Not one of them lasted much beyond the initial launch phase. After a few promising payments out, they ALL collapsed… Or worse, the owners simply disappeared with all the ‘invested’ money!

Having said all that – I will tell you straight up now…. I am going to include a link in this post – because it is a legitimate part of my response to this question.

If you do not believe a word I say here – or you think I also might be a scammer. Then simply ignore the link. It is that easy.

Here are some passive income ideas…

(That most likely will not work in the long term)…

Trading the Forex or crypto-currency markets. That is by joining a programs where a so-called ‘expert’ trader does the trading for you.

There are BIG problems doing this. One, of course, is that the more money you ‘invest’ the higher your ROI (Return On Income). But, also the higher your risk is. Another problem is that no matter how ‘expert’ the trader maybe ALL financial markets are manipulated at will by the banks and major corporations. So that they always come out on top. And remember for every Forex winner, there is always a loser!

Paying for advertising

Paying for advertising is another one of the so-called passive income ideas. Here, you buy an ‘advertising package’ (credits) where people can see your ad. Meanwhile you watch people’s ads. You earn a percentage of what you pay in (sometimes up to 50% per month) from the revenue generated by the sales of advertising.

There are several problems with this. Again the more you pay the higher your ROI, but also the higher your risk.

 

This model relies on ever increasing sales (to finance the payments) and once the sales slow down, not enough money is generated to make the payments. Also the advertising is useless (which people soon find out) because everyone joins to promote their stuff NOT to buy or join other people’s stuff.

Another of the usual passive income ideas is… ‘DFY’ (Done For You) ‘sales websites’. Here you pay other people, entrepreneurs, to build you a website – with a built-in ‘traffic system’ (yeah right!). Then pay monthly for its maintenance.

Does the seller really care if you make money once he has made the sale to you? Not usually! Again this ‘passive income’ necessitates up-front costs, with NO guarantee of any returns.

The list goes on…

It is because of all this that virtually everyone Online thinks ALL passive income ideas are scams.

There are NO ‘easy’ ways to earn money Online…

Most people, think that anything / everything that is claimed to be an ‘easy’ way to earn an income online can only be a scam. And in most cases they are totally correct.

Remember the old adage – if it sounds too good to be true. It usually is too good to be true.

HOWEVER, there are always exceptions to every rule.

If you always paint everything, or everyone, with the same brush, you may miss out on the odd Genuine Gem. An ‘easy’ way to earn a 100% passive income Online, which is exactly what it claims to be.
